Five years after her last visit, the Athlone Photography Club is happy to welcome back again, Michelle La Grue (Instagram @michelle.lagrue_photography, www.michellelagruephotography.com), a well known photographer from Artane, Co. Dublin, who is going to talk about judging techniques (what makes a good photo, what to avoid, etc.).
When you submit images to any competition or challenge, judges will look at various criteria to assess your images.
Does the composition work? Is your image underexposed/overexposed? Is the subject tilted? Is the image sharp where it should be? Does it have impact?...
In her presentation, Michelle will go through all the judges' techniques to help everybody understand how to improve their images.
