Athlone Photography Club is thrilled to announce The People of Athlone, a unique community photography exhibition set to take place as part of the RTÉ All Ireland Drama Festival from 8th to 16th May 2025. This project is generously sponsored by St Jarlath’s Credit Union (formerly Athlone Credit Union), whose support has made this celebration of Athlone’s people possible.

The exhibition will feature environmental portraits, capturing individuals in their everyday work and life settings. From butchers to baristas, teachers to tradespeople, artists to athletes, we aim to showcase the heart and soul of Athlone through powerful imagery.

Why Take Part?

This is a chance to be part of a creative and community-driven project that highlights the people who shape Athlone. Selected portraits will be featured in a professionally curated exhibition, with additional opportunities for images to be displayed online, in print, and in future publications.

How to Get Involved

We are looking for individuals of all ages and backgrounds who would like to be photographed as part of this project. Whether you’re a business owner, a community leader, or someone with a unique story to tell, we’d love to hear from you!
